With roots that run deep in the city of Portland, I am extremely proud to call myself a native Oregonian. Growing up in a family of general contractors allowed me to be a part of more than a half dozen complete home renovations before most people graduate college. The knowledge I gained during those years has proven to be essential for my buyers and sellers. A strong understanding of the local market is the byproduct of the time I have spent in this beautiful, unique city. It is always my goal to help my clients understand what options they have and provide a plan of action with their best interest first. When I’m not working: chances are you can find me exploring the Pacific Northwest with family and friends. From enjoying one of the many beautiful golf courses to spending the day hiking through the historic Columbia River Gorge, there are very few places in the world that offer such a diverse range of outdoor activity within a close radius of a major city. Sports have always been a major part of my life and I still play competitively to this day. I’m an active supporter of many local youth programs including some of the very same programs I grew up participating in. Simply put, I take a lot of pride in calling Southeast Portland my home

When I’m not working: I am usually out enjoying all that the Portland area has to offer with my husband. We have lived in the Pacific Northwest for nearly 25 years, and 3 years ago we decided that we should make our dream of living in Portland a reality and moved here. We love how everything is so accessible here, from great restaurants to beautiful hiking and biking trails. Now that our 3 children are grown we are also finding more time to travel and discover all of the great wineries in the Willamette Valley!

When I’m not working: I am usually hanging out and playing with my wife and two kids – a boy and a girl. We are extremely active and love to play just about anything outdoors. Experiencing the kids’ enthusiasm and zeal for sport has been one of my greatest joys. We ski, golf, bike, hike and spend time up at our old rustic cabin on the Hood Canal in Washington. Living in Portland allows us to do all these amazing things and we cherish that.

I’ve been selling real estate for over twelve years in all parts of Portland. After a few months in the business I met Kathy MacNaughton, as we ended up having some real estate transactions together. I really admired her work ethic, extensive knowledge and general ease in dealing with clients and people. She started as a mentor for me and became a friend and confidant. In 2005, I went to work with her for one of Portland’s largest and most successful condo developers, Onder Development Co. & Williams and Dame in selling the Strand Condos, a $150 million development. We were able to sell out this project during one of the largest market downturns in history.

The Strand experience inspired my interest in development. In late 2005, I helped established a development company of our own – Beck Davison Homes. We specialize in building energy efficient and sustainable homes in close-in NE, SE, and NW Portland neighborhoods. My wife, Teal Davison, is the interior designer for each of these homes. She places a strong emphasis on contemporary clean lines and features. Ethan Beck, our partner, is the general contractor and is focused on high quality, efficiency, conservation and sustainability. Between the three of us, we have the necessary skills to find, design and build your next new home!
